Beer In Mexico

No, I am not in Mexico sitting on a white sand beach under the sun drinking a corona even though it is now summer. Last weekend I went to a Kenny Chesney concert at downtown at Century Link Stadium. Beer in Mexico is one of the songs Kenny Chesney's preformed and is also one of my favorite songs of his. However, a new light was brought to the song when I heard it this time. In exactly two weeks I would be back at Century Link for my UW graduation. As I realized this and listened to the song it took on a new more personal meaning to me. Originally, I just liked the song, thought it was catchy and liked the lyrics.  As I listened to the song some of the lines read:
"From the answers and the reasons why
I'm at these crossroads in my life
And I dont really know
Witch way to go
....
Which road I travel
Is still a mystery to me"

Listening to the lyrics and realizing that I would be at commencement in two weeks in the same place and not knowing what I am going to do with the next stage of my life makes this very symbolic and personal as I am unsure which road I will travel while being at a crossroad in my life which can lead me in many different directions.

So, although I was not drinking beer in Mexico I was enjoying great country music with great people.

Just one other note: There were two performances before Kenny Chesney including Eli Young Band and Eric Church. I loved Eric Church, he was great on stage and had a great set list.
